Jadon Sancho RETURNS to Man Utd training for first time in TEN months as Ten Hag agrees to draw line under bust-up
Jadon Sancho has returned to Manchester United training for the first time in ten months after a positive conversation with manager Erik ten Hag. The two agreed to put their past differences behind them, following a significant bust-up last season.
Sancho, who was on loan at Borussia Dortmund and featured in the Champions League final, had been on an extended break but is now back in full training with United's senior squad at Carrington. Although he won't be traveling to Norway for the friendly against Rosenborg, this is due to his later start to pre-season training compared to his teammates. United is focused on getting him up to speed, and he returned for testing on Wednesday and trained with the group on Thursday.
Other top players like Andre Onana, Casemiro, Mason Mount, and Marcus Rashford also resumed training at Carrington this week. The conflict between Ten Hag and Sancho began last September when Sancho was dropped for a Premier League match against Arsenal, with Ten Hag criticizing his training performance. Sancho responded on social media, accusing Ten Hag of making him a scapegoat. After declining to apologize, Sancho was loaned back to Dortmund in January, where he regained his form, though he didn't make Gareth Southgate's Euro 2024 squad.
